Uncle John

Created by Sandy one year ago

We have very fond memories of our visits to Uncle John, from enjoying a meal out with him at The Angel to a cup of tea and a stroll round his garden. It was great chatting with him about his life and his time in the Services.

I will always be grateful to him for escorting me down the aisle on my wedding day and his toast to my mum, his little sister Freda, and my dad, who had died only a couple of months before.

We had planned to visit friends and family in 2020 and catch up with John, but unfortunately, Covid got in the way. Just recently, as New Zealand and the world had started to open up again, we turned our thoughts once again to visiting the UK, but, sadly, we are too late.

Please accept our sincere condolences. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you celebrate the life of a truly wonderful man.

Love Sandra and Alan
